Darrell Chiavetta



 

Darrell Chiavetta is Director of Product Line Management for Rockwell Collins. In this capacity, he is life cycle manager responsible for hardware and software products from inception to retirement. This includes strategic planning for the evolution of product lines and programs, and tactical execution of customer and company-funded developments.

Chiavetta joined Rockwell Collins as a Project Management Assistant in 1996, responsible for schedule and cost tracking for major development efforts and providing training in project management fundamentals. Since joining Rockwell Collins, Chiavetta has held various management positions including: Technical Director for the flight mission planning software, Program Manager for intra-aircraft modernization, Program Manager for international transport aircraft programs, and Programs Manager for Navy programs.

 

Chiavetta received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa in 2006. He earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Mass Communication and Spanish from Buena VistaCollege and also completed language studies at the University of Madrid, Spain. He is on the Board of Directors of the Metroplex Technology Business Council, and is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, and the National Defense Industrial Association.
