Jeanne Bayless

 

 

Ms. Bayless joined STAR Ventures in 2002 as Managing Partner of the U.S. office. Before joining STAR, she served as Director of Strategic Investments for Intel Capital.
 
Prior to her tenure at Intel Capital, Ms. Bayless was the Founder, CEO and President of AnswerSoft, a startup that developed software for the automation of inbound call center operations. AnswerSoft was acquired by Davox Corporation in 1998, and she then joined Davox as VP of Marketing. Preceding Davox, Ms. Bayless was VP of Marketing at NetBoost Corporation, a startup that developed solutions for the acceleration of network applications. NetBoost was acquired by Intel Corporation in 1999. 
 
Ms. Bayless is currently an active Board member of the following companies: AppTrigger, CedarPoint Communications, GrooveMobile, Kabira Technologies, OraMetrix, Sipera Systems, Teneros, and UltraCell Corporation.  Former Board positions include Broadbus, until the company was acquired by Motorola in 2006. She also holds Board observer roles at Mintera Corporation, Medical Present Value, Waterfront Media, Xtera Communications, and Wavesplitter Technologies.
 
She serves on the Board of the Metroplex Technology Business Council, as well as the Advisory Boards of the Entrepreneurs’ Foundation of North Texas and the University of Texas at Dallas School of Management.
 
Ms. Bayless holds an M.S. in Management from The University of Texas at Dallas and a B.S. in Computer Science from TexasA&MUniversity.
