Matt Richards is part of the Northrop Grumman Information Systems, Inc. business development team focused on the Commercial, State and Local marketplace. A market leader and one of the largest IT services firms in the United States, Northrop Grumman Information Technology delivers full life-cycle solutions that meet mission, enterprise and infrastructure needs in information systems and services; C4ISR; strategic security; engineering and science; training and simulation; base and range operations; and enterprise IT solutions and products.
Northrop Grumman Information System’s 52,000 technology professionals serve 3,000+ clients in all 50 states nationwide and 28 countries worldwide. IT services delivered by Northrop Grumman Information Systems surpassed $11B in 2007, representing roughly one third of the total revenue of the Northrop Grumman Corporation. Strategic outsourcing clients include the State of Virginia, City of Indianapolis/Marion County, County of San Diego, Department of Defense and Verizon.
A graduate with honors from Baylor University with a degree in History, Matt started his career in sales and project management at Paladin Consulting, Inc., a small Dallas-based services provider. There, he was promoted to leadership multiple times during his tenure, eventually managing partnership/channel development and major account pursuits.
In 2007, Matt joined Northrop Grumman Information Technology in a business development capacity focused on strategic IT outsourcing pursuits. In this role, Matt partners with internal service delivery to develop core offerings, identify emerging markets, uncover new strategic customers, and deploy Northrop Grumman Information Technology services.
Matt serves on the Board of the Metroplex Technology Business Council, the southwest US’s largest technology trade association. He’s also active in the Baylor Business Network, Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce, Addison Business Association, and Prestonwood Baptist Church. He’s married to Amy Richards, a Juris Doctorate candidate at Southern Methodist University.
