The dynamic 16-county region known as the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex is made up of 225 municipalities - including Dallas and Fort Worth - and is distributed across 12,800 square miles. The Metroplex is home to 6.2 million people, and its economy is one of the healthiest in the U.S. This is due in large part to its central location and the presence of the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and other excellent transportation resources, 22 Fortune 500 company headquarters and an extremely diversified economic base. The area has numerous advantages over other major cities. There is no personal or corporate state income tax in Texas. Due to DFW International Airport and the Metroplex's strategic location within the United States, a two-hour meeting in most U.S. cities does not require an overnight trip.
