Strategic Alliances
The MTBC is proud to announce it has entered into a Strategic Alliance with four key technology related trade organizations. These alliances will enable the MTBC to provide information to its members on programs provided by our partners, promote MTBC events to their members, and give technology companies in North Texas greater leverage for legislative advocacy in both Austin and Washington.
The Technology Business Council (TBC) is comprised of Dallas Regional Chamber member companies, stakeholders in the area’s technology and life science community, and financial investors of the TBC’s activities throughout the year.
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) - Dallas Section is a professional organization of electrical, electronic, and computer engineers in the greater Dallas area. It organizes technical, educational, and scientific meetings providing professional benefits to its members while contributing towards progress in the field.
The Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at UTD leverages the power of ideas and technology to create new ventures and add economic, social and cultural value to the community by fostering and nurturing a culture of creativity, innovation and exploration.
TechAmerica Texas serves the high-tech business interests of companies located in the region by providing access to opportunities for networking, business development, education, advocacy, and through delivering a portfolio of products and services.

UT Dallas Offers Computer Science Classes for Working Professionals
UT Dallas is offering three computer science short courses for high-tech professionals this fall:
• .NET for Large Scale Web Development
• Object-Oriented Analysis and Design with UML 2.0
• Combating Social Engineering
Designed to quickly equip students with both theoretical and practical skills, all three courses provide training in fundamental issues while incorporating industry-related examples and exercises to provide maximum benefit to students.
Prospective students include not only working professionals who want to gain new skills in an area related to their work but also students interested in a new technical area. Courses require some prior training in fundamental computer science topics.
Each course is provided in an executive education format of weekly three-hour modules offered on evenings or Saturdays, and a certificate is awarded for the completion of each. Most courses last six weeks. For more information, please visit http://cs.utdallas.edu/graduate/professionaled.html.
