Are you struggling to get your innovative technology or business idea in front of companies that have a proven record in commercializing technology products, services, or ideas?

Welcome to the Metroplex Technology Business Council’s TechQuest program where we match Innovation Seekers with Innovation Providers. The match-making TechQuest program is designed to do just that through a simple process.

Through TechQuest, small tech companies, university researchers, savvy technologists and others have an opportunity to present their technology-based ideas and business plans to a major DFW company. Those connections may result in technology licensing, funding, a customer/supplier relationship or a strategic partnership.

Participation in TechQuest does not require MTBC membership or even a DFW business address.

Step 1:

Respond to the request for information from the Innovation Seeker.  In order to be considered for an introduction to the Seeker company, you must complete and email your Application by Friday, October 3, 2008.  The earlier you submit, the more attention and time you'll receive from the reviewers, so don't delay!

Step 2:

MTBC will acknowledge your submittal and it will be screened by the MTBC Innovation Team reviewers based on the criteria provided by the Seeker company.

Step 3:

If you are selected to meet with the Seeker company, a participation fee is paid to the MTBC.  There is no fee for applying.  Costs are as follows:

  • $100 individual fee
  • $250 company participation fee
Selected Participants are then invited to attend an orientation by the MTBC which will provide them with information concerning the Innovation Seeker's guidelines, and practice in making a presentation.

Step 4:

Selected participants will attend the TechQuest matching event held in late October/early November at the offices of the Seeker company.  Selected Participants will have the opportunity for a 50 minute face-to-face meeting with the Seeker company executives to discuss the innovative technology and a possible business relationship with the seeker company.
