METROPLEX TECHNOLOGY BUSINESS COUNCIL ANNOUNCES 2009 TECH TITANS AWARDS GALA ON AUGUST 28, 2009
What: The Metroplex Technology Business Council is holding the 9th Annual Tech Titans Awards and Fast Tech gala on August 28th at the Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel. At the event, winners will be announced in categories designed to showcase the most cutting-edge technologies and the brightest talent emerging from the North Texas region.
The event will also reveal the rankings of the 2009 Titan Fast Tech, which lists the fastest-growing DFW technology companies based on percentage revenue growth over the last year and the fastest-growing DFW technology companies based on percentage revenue growth over the last five years.
The Tech Titans gala also raises funds to support a scholarship program for students at local universities who are pursuing degrees in math, science, engineering and technology, as well as are high school teachers who teach in these disciplines.

MTBC OPENS NOMINATIONS FOR TECH TITANS AWARDS AND FAST TECH LISTING, ANNOUNCES AWARDS GALA DATE
DALLAS – May 1, 2009 – The Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC), the largest technology trade association in Texas, today announced the opening of nominations for the eighth annual Tech Titans Awards and Fast Tech listing. The Fast Tech (formerly the Fast 50) recognizes the fastest-growing DFW technology companies based on percentage revenue growth over the last year and the fastest-growing DFW technology companies based on percentage revenue growth over the last five years.
The Tech Titans Award winners and the rankings of the Fast Tech will be revealed at the Tech Titans/Fast Tech Awards gala event, to be held at the Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel in Richardson, Texas, on Friday, August 28th, 2009. Tech Titans Awards category descriptions are also available now on the website, along with nomination forms and eligibility requirements for both the Tech Titans Awards and the Fast Tech list. Fast Tech nominations must be submitted by Friday, June 5, 2009, and Tech Titans nominations must be submitted by Tuesday, June 30, 2009.

MTBC OPENS NOMINATIONS FOR
TECH TITANS OF THE FUTURE AWARDS
DALLAS – May 1, 2009 – The Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC), the largest technology trade association in Texas, today announced the opening of nominations for the Tech Titans of the Future Awards as part of the ninth annual Tech Titans Awards program.
One Tech Titans of the Future Award recognizes an educational program at the university level that is designed to address the gap in the student pipeline in technology disciplines, and/or an educational program between technology businesses and educational institutions whose purpose is to provide qualified graduates to the technology industry.
A second Tech Titans of the Future award recognizes a high school math or science teacher (grades 9-12) for development and implementation of an innovative teaching technique or program that inspires student interest in further educational and/or career pursuits in science, technology, engineering or math. The teaching technique or program should demonstrate opportunity for students to gain applied knowledge. Tech Titans will entertain the nomination of not more than one math or science teacher per high school in a school district. The nomination requires testimonials from three current or former students. Nominations with student testimonials are due Friday, June 19, 2009.
