MTBC's Semiconductor / Nano Focus Group was formed to take advantage of the increasing connectivity between the two industry sectors.  MTBC members 
and those interested in these two areas continue to explore common interests in research, development and commercialization opportunities. 

The 2010 steering committee for the SNFG includes:

Mission:
SNFG seeks to engage members of both the semiconductor and nanotechnology industries throughout North Texas in an effort to:

  • Promote the North Texas area as a key center for semiconductor and nanotechnology excellence at all levels within these industries;
  • Partner with existing organizations (SEMI, SPUG, SIA, MetroChips and others) to provide additional learning, networking and business-to-business opportunities that benefit the diverse aspects and emerging technologies within these  industries
  • Promote industry collaborations with key institutions of higher education in North Texas;
  • Help attract the best and brightest workforce to the North Texas area to meet and sustain the diverse, dynamic needs of the Metroplex semiconductor and nanotechnology industries to further solidify this area as one of the most desirable places to live and do business in the U.S.
