Tech Titans Celebrates Five Years Of Recognizing "Pure Genius"

Tickets Still Available For Aug. 19 Awards Gala

With just under two weeks left until the MTBC’s 5th Annual Tech Titans and Titan Fast 50 Awards Gala, final preparations are being made on the Oscar-style event.

Under the theme “Pure Genius,” the event is is set for Friday, Aug. 19 from 5:30 p.m. - midnight at the Renaissance Hotel and Charles W. Eisemann Center in Richardson.

“The MTBC looks forward every year to hosting the premier event for recognition of stellar companies and individuals representing the incredibly progressive and vibrant technology community in North Texas,” said Bill Sproull, president and CEO, MTBC. “This fifth year anniversary is especially celebratory as this event continues to grow in prestige and recognition in IT, bio-tech, manufacturing and education segments.”

The MTBC recently announced the finalists for this year’s nine major Tech Titans awards. They are as follows:

The MTBC also announced the companies which will be honored as the Titan Fast 50. The Titan Fast recognizes the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, based on percentage revenue growth over five years (2000 to 2004) as well as percentage revenue growth over one year (2003-2004). In conjunction with Tech Titans, the MTBC's 3rd Friday Technical Luncheon in August will feature the eight finalists from the Corporate Horizon and Emerging Company Horizon award categories. The event, which is normally held on the third Friday of every month, will be held on the second Friday (Aug. 12) to accommodate the awards gala on Aug. 19.

The Tech Titans awards were launched in 2001 by the Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC), North Texas' most comprehensive organization supporting technology. The Tech Titans committee is a group of dedicated volunteers that each year organizes the annual awards ceremony. Judges are drawn from a variety of disciplines in technology, leaders in the area and past winners.
