Events Planned For Tech Week In Austin
Feb. 28 through March 4 has been designated Texas Technology Week. The MTBC, in conjunction with the American Electronics Association (AeA), TechNet and the Texas Healthcare & Bioscience Institute (THBI), is organizing a series of events in Austin to promote the importance of technology within the state and to keep Texas a leader in the field.
Monday's events will center around a technology summit entitled "Innovation, Investment and Productivity: Ensuring Texas' Place In A Competitive 21st Century." The summit will bring together industry and law-making leaders for three panel discussions. A legislative reception featuring tech innovation exhibits and a news conference are also planned for the day.
Tuesday will feature a policy briefing breakfast, as well as delegation recognition in the House and Senate. Leadership from the four organizations will use the remainder of the week to speak with key elected officials about various legislation and policies.
MTBC members are invited to participate in all of the Tech Week activities. Also, sponsorships are available at a variety of levels.
