The newly formed MTBC Semiconductor Technology Focus Group and the international association of semiconductor supplier companies, Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI), will host a networking showcase display and luncheon program Thursday, March 30 at The Richardson Hotel, 701 E. The panel will feature four speakers from DFW-area semiconductor manufacturers, including Dan Youman, head of Test and Assembly for Texas Instruments; Oprea Florin, director of manufacturing for Dallas Semiconductor/MAXIM; and representatives from National Semiconductor and ST Microelectronics, who will discuss the requirements necessary to effectively compete with semiconductor manufacturing centers in other parts of the world.

Moderating the panel will be local semiconductor industry analyst, Carl Johnson, who is the co-founder of Infrastructure, an independent research and consulting resource devoted to providing technology, investment and market information about the semiconductor, semiconductor equipment, flat panel display and related industries. Johnson oversees the content and distribution of all publications released by the organization, writes columns for several trade and financial publications, and has publicly spoken about investing and the industry at numerous events.
