Board Member Spotlight: Craig Berry

Craig Berry is senior vice president, chief information officer for Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division 
Berry oversees technology infrastructure and applications for the 7,400-employee, global company. He led the implementation of a globally consolidated, SAP and Teamcenter-based, enterprise system, and continues to evolve an integrated, analytic and service-oriented architecture in order to meet the needs of key decision makers, customers and partners.
 
His association with Siemens PLM Software began in 1997, when he served as SAP project manager and Enterprise Applications director for Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC), a leading provider of mechanical design and product development software and services. In 2001, EDS acquired SDRC and merged it with Unigraphics Solutions, Inc. to form the PLM Solutions line of business, later known as UGS. In 2002, Berry was appointed to his current position.
 
Prior to joining Siemens PLM Software, Berry was a senior manager with Ernst & Young's Management Consulting Group, where he consulted within numerous industries over a seven-year period. He specialized in Strategic Information System Assessments, software package deployments, and large-scale ERP implementations. He is a certified SAP FI/CO Consultant. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Berry was an officer in the United States Air Force, where he served as an Intelligence Systems Engineer. His systems project leadership and long-term contributions to imaging technology earned him an Air Force Commendation Medal in 1990.
 
Berry received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Dayton in 1990, graduating with "Outstanding Academic Achievement." He earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1986. Berry is a Distinguished Military Graduate and also attended language studies in Strasbourg, France.
 
Berry chairs the University of North Texas’ College of Engineering Advisory Board.  He also serves on the board of the Metroplex Technology Business Council.
 
Craig Berry resides in Plano, Texas with his wife and three children.

Board Member Spotlight: Rusty Cone

Rusty Cone joined Alliance Systems (now part of NEI) in January 1999 and is currently senior vice president of sales and marketing for NEI. With more than 20 years of experience in high-tech manufacturing and quality process management, he is responsible for sales, sales operations, marketing and customer service. Previously, he served as vice president of M&S Systems, a nationally recognized consumer electronics manufacturer. In addition, he held management positions at Texas Instruments and Marlow Industries, a winner of the 1991 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. He holds a BS degree in naval science from the U.S. Naval Academy.

Board Member Spotlight: Tanis Cornell

Tanis Cornell is the Global Enterprise Manager for NetApp, a global leader in the storage and data management industry. She has more than 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and alliance leadership in the telecommunications, software and data management industries. She currently has responsibility for NetApp’s global relationship with AT&T.

Tanis leads the NetApp sales teams responsible for the IT and consumer business units as well as affiliates such as YP.com and AT&T WiFi. Her previous roles include executive vice president of sales and marketing for PhaseWare, a software firm providing help desk software solutions, and vice president positions with Level 3 Communications and WilTel, wholesale telecommunications carriers.

Tanis serves on the board of directors for Sales & Marketing Executives International and the Metroplex Technology Business Council. She is on the business advisory council for the Oklahoma Christian University School of Business. She has previously held board president positions for the Tulsa Area Red Cross and Dale Rogers Training Center, a non-profit serving the needs of the adult mentally handicapped in Oklahoma City. She is a cum laude graduate of the University of North Texas and resides in Plano with her husband Don and son Christopher.

Board Member Spotlight: Doug Moore

Doug Moore is senior vice president of sales, marketing and services at Fujitsu Network Communications. He is responsible for all customer care activities, including professional services, customer support and operations, domestic and international sales, marketing communications, business product management, and market development.
 
Prior to Fujitsu, Doug worked at AT&T Network Systems. His 25-year telephony and data career encompasses sales, development, manufacturing and engineering.
 
Doug currently serves as chairman of the board of directors for the Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC), the largest technology trade association in Texas. 
 
Doug received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Arizona in 1984 and his Master of Business Administration at Arizona State University in 1990. He holds a US patent for marked rectractile telephone cords.

Board Member Spotlight: Alan Caslavka

Alan Caslavka, Vice President & General Manager, has overarching management responsibility for the military Surface Solutions business within Rockwell Collins Government Systems (RCGS). The Surface Solutions portfolio includes military ground vehicles, soldier applications, fixed site communications systems, range instrumentation systems, maritime applications and electronic warfare products. In addition to his general management duties, he has overall Richardson, Texas site responsibility.

Prior to this assignment, Mr. Caslavka was Vice President & General Manager responsible for the Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence business. He also served as Director of European Sensors and Displays, located in the United Kingdom, and Director of Navigation Systems, with responsibility for worldwide Global Positioning System (GPS) solutions. 
 
He has been employed by the company for 25 years in various Manufacturing Operations, Engineering and Program Management positions. He was recognized as Rockwell International’s Engineer of the Year in 1992 and led a team that was awarded the McDonnell Douglas Aerospace “Spirit of Excellence” and “Model of Excellence” awards in 1996 for outstanding contributions, as a supplier.
 
Mr. Caslavka graduated from Iowa State University of Science and Technology with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering and has acquired a Masters in Business Administration at the Nova Southeastern University.
 
Mr. Caslavka and his wife Cindy reside in Dallas, Texas and are the parents of three sons, Mitchell, Bradley and Daniel.

Allison Cerra is Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs for Alcatel-Lucent in the Americas Region.  In this capacity, Allison oversees marketing strategy and communications and engages with North and South American service providers on go-to-market approaches to drive incremental revenue.  Allison has more than 15 years of telecommunications experience in marketing, sales and product management functions across service provider and equipment vendor industries. 

She recently co-authored The Shift: The Evolving Market, Players and Business Models in a 2.0 World, based on an extensive 18-month primary research study that estimates a $100 billion market opportunity when networks are leveraged as development platforms.  In addition to The Shift, Allison has published several whitepapers and articles about emerging end-user broadband trends and market potential for next-generation services. 

Allison holds two bachelors degrees from the University of South Florida and Masters of Business Administration and Telecommunications degrees from Southern Methodist University.  In addition to the Metroplex Technology Business Council, she serves on the boards of the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth and the Telecommunications Industry Association.
