The talent initiatives at the MTBC are key to the future success of the high tech industry in our region and our nation. High tech companies are increasingly concerned about the declining number of students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). One of the most significant challenges facing the high tech industry down the road is a shortfall of high tech workers - by as much as 40 percent - to fill jobs that high tech companies want to create.
The Vice Chairman of the Talent Team is Kent Novak, Texas Instruments. The MTBC Talent objective is to facilitate the technology community's sustainable impact on building an emerging workforce through strategies that enhance STEM education. The strategic priorities are connections, marketing, pathways and advocacy. To become involved in one of the Talent Team priorities contact Pam Krause or call 972-792-2859.
