Want to know more about Small Business Innovative Research Grants (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Grants? Then plan to attend the 4-day SBIR National conference at the Renaissance Hotel in Richardson, Oct. 29 - Nov.1. The SBA’s Office of Technology administers these two programs. Through these two competitive programs, SBA ensures that the nation's small, high-tech, innovative businesses are a significant part of the federal government's research and development efforts. Eleven federal departments participate in the SBIR program and five departments participate in the STTR program. Winners Announced at 7th Annual Tech Titans Awards
The Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC), the largest technology trade association in Texas, recently announced the winners of its seventh annual Tech Titans Awards competition.
MTBC Innovation Team Closes on 2007 Goals, Looks Forward MTBC's Innovation Team, under the direction of Chairman Craig Berry of Siemens, is rapidly closing in on its goals for 2007: Some benchmark metrics have been established which will aid in tracking the progress of the region as a center for innovation. The metrics are being tracked on a quarterly basis. In addition, the Innovation Team had a booth presence at the "World's Best Technologies" conference in Arlington in May.
