This issue home | Past issues | MTBC home MTBC's Innovation Team, under the direction of Chairman Craig Berry of Siemens, is rapidly closing in on its goals for 2007: Some benchmark metrics have been established which will aid in tracking the progress of the region as a center for innovation. The metrics are being tracked on a quarterly basis. In addition, the Innovation Team had a booth presence at the "World's Best Technologies" conference in Arlington in May. It was remarkable to see the variety and commercialization potential of so many technology-based products produced in the Metroplex. Coming up later in October is the national SBIR conference which is being hosted with the MTBC's support at the Governor's request. It will bring out the best small technology companies along with federal funding sources. As the Innovation Team looks to the next challenge, it has found an opportunity to connect the creators of ideas in DFW with entities which can implement them.
