The MTBC is proud to announce that addition to an online career center to the MTBC website scheduled to launch by March 31, 2008. All MTBC online patrons, members and non-members alike will be able to post their resume, search for jobs, set up cover letters, and set up search agents. MTBC members will be able to participate in the career center in several ways.
It's Almost Golf Time! Many of you have done many business exchanges over 18 holes on a beautiful Friday afternoon. We know that the MTBC golf tournament has been one of those times where you have made some great networking contacts, marketed your company, done some business, and had some good old fashioned fun in the sand. STARTech: DFW’s Model Technology Accelerator Observes Its 10th Anniversary STARTech, DFW’s original, and some would argue most successful, high-tech business incubator/accelerator, evolved from 1997 MTBC planning retreat. The thought was that there were many fine engineers in North Texas, but they lacked the “safety net” which would enable them to leave their job and pursue both their idea and, in the process, their dream of business ownership and financial independence. What needed to be done, noted Tom Aschenbrenner, a successful area technology entrepreneur, was to “institutionalize entrepreneurship” in order to help offset the considerable personal risks in starting a business from scratch.
