New Methodology for MTBC Membership Awareness Campaign

The MTBC Membership Awareness Campaign runs through October 16th and is using a new methodology this year to attract long-term members. In the past, membership campaigns have involved cold call sessions for a few days in October.

This year, the MTBC Involvement Team and staff have done extensive research on the MTBC and the north Texas technology market. They discovered that the MTBC membership closely reflects the outside market, but there is still plenty of room for growth.

The team identified telecom, software development, engineering and IT services as the largest components of the MTBC and the north Texas tech market. Then, a list of more than 600 non-member companies was produced and provided to the board and campaign volunteers.

Board members and volunteers are being asked to find a few companies that are not MTBC members and approach them about membership. The idea is to capitalize on the professional relationships already in place with the non-member companies. The MTBC volunteers then pledge to help the new member get integrated and active in the MTBC. Past evidence shows that the more involved companies are with the organization, the more value they receive from membership.

In return for their time and initiative, volunteers and board members will attend a wrap-up party on October 16th where several prizes including TV’s and I-phones will be awarded to top performers.

It is not too late to get involved. Contact Drew Snow at 972.792.2855 or or Michael Flusche at 972.792.2863.  But hurry! Some people are already off and running!

The campaign kicked off with a meeting on September 30th at the AT&T building on Central Expressway.
