MTBC Develops Business Ties in Asia

MTBC President Bill Sproull was invited by a regional technology organization in Korea to present at their International Symposium about flexible display technology. The presentation focused on R&D partnerships between Texas and Korea. Bill facilitated an advanced semiconductor research program at UT Dallas that was jointly funded by the Korean government and the state of Texas Emerging Technology Fund (on whose advisory board Bill sits).

Chungnam Techno Park (CTP) hosted the event and positions themselves as a place where creative talents cooperate to ensure future success under the formula "Creativity+Teamwork=Performance". President and CEO of CTP Hak-Min Kim, Ph.D, has a special interest in technology companies in North Texas as a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Kim is also the chairman of 17 technology parks across South Korea.

MTBC member Samsung has the world's largest factory producing flat panel displays in Changnam province. Flexible displays is a next generation technology that is a research focus at UT Dallas.

Whle Bill was in Korea, the MTBC and CTP developed and signed a joint technology resolution. This memorantum included an agreement between the two organizations to refer to each other corporations from their respective regions that are seeking trade partners, distribution channel partners, joint ventures or any other type of strategic partnership with companies in the other's region. Also included was the understanding that the MTBC and CTP can establish a business presence in the other's region providing assistance to the company establishing a new presence. Cross promotion, communication, strategic planning, and overall good ties between the two organizations have been established.

If you are interested in developing business relations in Asian market and would like more information on how to get involved, please contact Bill Sproull at 972-792-2851.
